Acero’s process engineering team supports various projects, including conceptual studies, FEEDs, facility retrofits, detailed engineering for batteries, well sites, oil & gas facilities, and plant optimization. They also deliver process simulations, drawing packages, as-built documentation, equipment sizing, and optimization reports.
Acero’s mechanical engineering team supports projects such as pipeline tie-ins, gas gathering lines, facility retrofits, expansions, detailed engineering for batteries, well sites, and plants, as well as optimization, FEED, and conceptual studies. They provide equipment design, procurement support, and project specifications.
The electrical, instrumentation, and controls (EI&C) engineering team at Acero provides support for various project types including: facility retrofits and expansion, detailed engineering (batteries, well sites, facilities, power sub-stations), and supports procurement activities and studies (plant optimisation, FEED, and conceptual studies, etc.). The EI&C engineering team also develops various deliverables and engineering packages that include: project-specific electrical engineered packages, typical well site electrical engineered packages, EI&C engineering procurement support, power distribution optimisation analysis and/or studies, instrument specification and sizing, control narrative and/or philosophies and shutdown key development.
The structural engineering team at Acero provides full engineering packages including: all grading, foundations, structural concrete, and steel design. The civil engineering team has the capacity to provide 3D design for ditches, ponds, tank farms, roads, site grading for runoff, etc.
The piping, design and drafting team at Acero provides technical support for engineering deliverables and packages. The team can create piping models, 2D and 3D facility models, and project drawings such as PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, and site as-builts. Acero’s continually developing piping team specializes in: stress analysis, pipeline hydraulics, pipeline risk analysis and corrosion analysis.
In addition to general project management activities typically performed at an EPCM firm, Acero has also been invited by several clients to act as their project management consultant (PMC) to supervise other engineering firm’s activities. Acero has performed project management and/or project control duties globally and has full time employees that manage client’s projects with in-house engineering teams assigned to them. These projects range in size, complexity, and schedule/budget demand. Acero also offers the secondment of facility engineers to work on behalf of clients, both in the field and/or at a clients’ home-based offices.
The Acero Regulatory department is continuously informed about current and up-coming government regulations to ensure that projects are designed in accordance with the latest regulatory requirements. Acero acts on behalf of clients to submit, monitor and ultimately obtain energy development permits. This allows clients to focus on building their assets, knowing that they are in line with world class environmental standards.
